THE ELECTRONIC DX PRESS (EDXP) is an electronic/hard-copy newsletter, compiled on a voluntary, non-commercial, basis by Bob Padula, of Melbourne, Australia. The author, himself a practising
professional communications engineer, has been actively involved
with the DXing movement in editorial, or managerial capacities,
for some 40 years, including the Australian Radio DX Club
Incorporated since its inception in June 1965. He holds the
Australian Government distinction of the Medal of the Order of
Australia, (OAM) for services rendered in a voluntary capacity
to shortwave radio.

EDXP seeks to provide timely and topical news and information to
shortwave hobbyists on shortwave broadcasting (2300 kHz to 26,100
kHz), focused on:

* Schedule updates and analysis
* New stations and transmitters
* Planned new stations/transmitters
* New addresses for stations
* Schedule analyses
* Schedules not readily or easily available
* Spectrum usage
* New DX programs
* Shortwave media and publications
* International broadcasting engineering activity
* International frequency and transmission plannning
* Responsible discussion on shortwave broadcasting and
transmission

EDXP does NOT cover Internet-audio, scanners, utility or amateur radio communications.

HERE ARE FURTHER DETAILS ABOUT EDXP:

1.	Entry to EDXP is conditional on members providing relevant information and news via e-mail, fax, telephone, or postal mail, at least once for every four editions. Members who fail to satisfy this requirement will be deleted from the distribution list.

2.	Information provided in EDXP is expected to be original, contributed by members. In this sense, the term "member" may include individuals, electronic newsletters, DX/radio clubs, radio stations, DX Federations, publishers, booksellers, transmission planners, and any other organization or person with an interest in international radio broadcasting.

3.	EDXP will be issued at least once a month, and at more frequent intervals consistent with the timeliness and importance of information received. 

4.  EDXP will NOT be available on subscription. It is compiled as a non-commercial, hobby project.

6.	EDXP is FREE to participants.

7.	Printed copies will be postal-mailed to recipients who do not have e-mail access. Recipients of postal mailed copies are required to contribute towards postage expenses.

A SAMPLE EDITION of EDXP and further details will be forwarded on request, either by E-mail or postal (air) mail. Recipients desiring POSTAL MAIL delivery of the SAMPLE EDITION AND GENERAL DETAILS are asked to send two 45c stamps (Australian addresses), or one IRC (US$1.00) outside of Australia.
