Due to the local Carnival in Cadiz (SOUTH SPAIN), Radio Cadiz (990 kHz)
of SER Network is broadcasting extended schedule local programs. They
have a local slot from 15:00 UTC to 04:00 or 05:00 UTC (It depends on
the days). This will be until 15th February 1997. When carnivals finish,
this station will come back to normal local slots under SER network
procedures. It is very easy to ID. They pronounce several times: Cadiz,
Chirigotas, cuples, tanguillos and carnavales (local names for the bands
of the town). It is very easy to hear frantic conversations in Spanish
and chants with Spanish guitars. That's the perfect occasion to verify
this station.
