Nick Hall-Patch DXing with Walter Salmaniw

Heard near Grayland, WA using homebrew rcvr, Dymek DR333 and
 Beverages: 700' @260 degrees, 700' @300 degrees

t738 FR. POLYNESIA, Papeete. Fade in w/mx and talk at poor strength as early
as 0433 June 22. Best signal noted 1208 June 22, fair, w/FF talk by woman.

t891 AUSTRALIA, Adelaide, 5AN. Likely the one with man giving address in
Adelaide, fair strength, 1134 21 June. Indian mx heard underneath likely
Fiji.

1053 S.KOREA, jammer. 1138 June 22. Familiar whooshing sound fading up to
poor/fair strength. Unlike June 21, this morning had a number of signs of
Asiatics, (SAHs, carriers etc.), but this was the only one with recognizable
audio.

1134 AUSTRALIA, Armidale, 2AD. 1246 June 21 (over 1/2 hour after sunrise),
w/ad at fair-good strength followed by '1134 2AD' ID by man.

t1620 AUSTRALIA, Nerang, 4ADR. 1202 June 21, fair w/dance mx. Mixing
w/countryish mx from assumed 2AM.

1630 NEW ZEALAND, Taumarunui,"TM" beacon. Fair at times around 1212 June 21.
Dug this ID up from Shawn Axelrod's list on the net.

1638 AUSTRALIA, Sydney, 2ME. This one faded up to fair to good levels, both
June 21 and June 22 after sunrise at 1210, with Middle Eastern mx. "1638 2ME"
ID by man 1240 June 22.

There were, of course, many signals that were either relatively common for
coastal expeditions (4QD-1548 was particularly good), or unidentified.
Conditions favored Australia, particularly at sunrise, and particularly
above 1100 kHz. The brief evidence of Asiatic signals on June 22 was much
less pronounced than the opening to Japan noted by other DXers in the area
on June 20.

A more detailed report of the expedition logs is in preparation.
