IRELAND [non]. West Coast Radio Ireland was missing UT Thu July 10
from its 0100-0200 broadcast to North America, not heard either on
9855 nor on 9875. But on July 17 it was back from 0101 via Germany
on 9875, after having been on 9855 for a few weeks, and revealed
the missing time for the current tests to Au/NZ, UT Thursdays 0700
on 9700. Also, WWCR tells me that Emerald Radio will end its current
run July 26, but hopes to return with another series in the fall
(Glenn Hauser, OK, and World of Radio 902)

PERU. On 5730, R. Santiago, Rio Santiago, first heard July 12 at
1138, and next day from *1112 with old-time romantic music, local
announcements. Not heard evenings due to fax/RTTY signal (Fernando
Viloria, Venezuela, World of Radio 902)

U S A. Florida has another 26 MHz SW station, starting a couple weeks
ago on 26470, audible during sporadic-E openings, operated by WJFP,
91.1 FM, Fort Pierce. I called the station and found out that they
use 75 watts to a 5-element horizontal antenna aimed toward Chicago.
They have had reports from as far as Michigan, Washington, Quebec,
Haiti and Venezuela. Although officially a cuing unit, they refer to
this openly as a "lowpower shortwave service" and the organization
plans to put two more on the air, unknown from where (Alan Roberts,
PQ, July 16, World of Radio 902)

U S A. FCC records show an experimental license to Caprock Consulting
Group, Flower Mound, Texas for WA2XJS on 1790, 4050, 10200, 18220,
27755 and 49820 kHz for RF susceptibility testing (Hary Helms' website
via World of Radio 902) Flower Mound is between Dallas and Denton.
Wonder what kind of modulation and if they ever ID (Glenn Hauser)

THIS WEEK ON WORLD OF RADIO 902. Besides the items above about Ireland,
Peru, Florida and Texas, if you don't monitor this broadcast you will
miss Star Radio, Liberia, and its frequencies about to start; Voice of
One Free Ethiopia schedule; recordings of Equatorial Guinea, Tahiti;
reports on Mauritius and Maldives' SW plans; and much, much more
detailed in the topic summary on our website:
http://idt.net/~khecht19/ghauser

and can be downloaded from the World Radio Network Sound Store any
time after 1645 UT Saturday; details on the website.
W.O.R. schedule changes: The Sat 1300 on 15685 from WWCR is
