For what it's worth, I tried playing these files using the Mac version of 
Apple's new QuickTime 3.0 (which is said to play just about anything) and 
only got the message that the file failed to load. This new QuickTime 3.0 
is also available in the PC version if anyone is interested in 
downloading it (free).

Since this format is cross-platform, it ought to be considered as a way 
to deliver these audio files. QuickTime 3 is supposed to do mpeg 3 and 
has been selected as the standard for mpeg 4.
