                      RE>[SWL] AFN Transmitter location 98 08 02

Well the AF ceased Global HF Comms operations out of Mc Dill as 010001Z JUL 98. That would leave a lot of equipment / antennas for someone to use...................untill..............

Based upon the fact that DXers in Southern Florida are hearing AFN
with fairly consistent signals all day long on both frequencies. Is
it possible that the station maybe operating at or near the US
Southern Command Headquarters in Miami?

Their address is:
U.S. Southern Command Headquarters
3511 NW 91st Ave
Miami, Fl 33172

Can someone in the Miami area make a run to this location to confirm
or refute the location of the transmitter being located there?
