You better unplug it. My VCR is causing severe interference in the stand by
position  - worse than any TV set (switched on) that I've experienced !!
The distance from my VCR to my DX receivers is some 15 mts !!

Also very strong interference is caused when I recharge the battery on my
mobile telephone.
