thanks to tip from Karl van Rooy via Internet ICQ. Male speaker in Russian,
music bridges, female speaker at 1323. 24332 (Veldhuis)


INDONESIA

3976.05, RRI; Pontianak (location presumed), November 1, 1515-1541,
Indonesian ballads, male speaker in Bahasa Indonesia. At 1533 tentative
"Radio Republik Indonesia" ID, no local ID heard. Fading out, 24332 at best.

4925, RRI; Jambi, November 1, 1506-1509*, Female speaker with news in Bahasa
Indonesia. Then at 1507 what sounded like a promo (male speaker with music
in the background). If it was a promo, it was a long one. Station suddenly
went off air at 1509, when this thing was still running. Fine reception,

INTERNET

May I remind you that besides rec.radio.shortwave, there's another newsgroup
that's of interest to us hard-core-DXers. It's called alt.dx.tropical . Not
much activity there yet, but people are beginning to discover the newsgroup,
so it might be worth monitoring.
