1034- 3250.75- Peru Radio Comas 1034-1045 Noted faint music here.
However, man in Spanish comments was very easy to hear with ID and TC.

1041- 4970.95- PERU- Radio Imagen 1041-1055 Noted a man in Spanish
comments over Huaynos music. Signal was poor with splatter. (Bolland,

1047- 5460.6- UNID- R. Bolivar?? Peru??, 1047-1055, Sounded like
Peruvian camposina music and difinte man announcer in what sounded like
SP once. Extremely weak but there.  First time to hear anything here.

1050- 4975.15- PERU- Radio Del Pacifico 1050-1100 Noted a woman in
Steady Spanish comments during period. Signal was fair. (Bolland, USA,
November 6, 1998)

1100- 7285- THAILAND- HSK9/R.T., 1100, EG ID by man and mention of
upcoming Vietnamese program, then said broadcast in Vietnamese.  Quite
strong, clear.  (Valko, USA 3 Nov.)

1102- 6239.81- UNID-  Peruvian??  1102-1108, Man in definite SP. 
thought heard mention of onda larga.  Some music at 1103, then man
shouting announcements again at 1105.  RTTY on low side, so had to use
USB.  Then USB traffic started not long after tune in, so couldn't copy
the LA.  Not to mention it was fairly weak.  6250 LV de Andahuaylas down
in freq?? (Valko, USA 4 Nov.)

1103- 3324.8- UNID- Suspect R. North Solomans (PNG) @1103 but they, like
all PNG's, are usually dead spot on frequency.  Also, there were no
other PNG's to be heard and only the lightest audio from 4890. 
Programming consisted of  usual "Island MX." Tuned in just as the ID was
being made and didn't understand it or record it. (Rippel, USA 11/01/98)

1109- 7003.41- PERU- LV de Huaringas (tent.), 1109-1115, Peruvian
camposina sounding music, talk by man in definite SP.  Way too weak to
spend  time on, but no doubt its them.  (Valko, USA 3 Nov.)

1115- 3275- PAPUA NEW GUINEA- R. Southern Highlands, 1115-1203, program
of pleasant local choral music with woman announcer host in Pidgin after
every selection with song announcements, possibly time checks, ID, and
mentions of Papua New Guinea, radio, and "broadcast".  Seemed best
around 1145. Still going at 1203 when the tape ran out.  (Valko, USA 3

1116- 15700- BULGARIA- R Bulgaria (New Fqy), 1116, program in German
with news reports, 33343, (Liangas Oct 28 Greece) 

1118- 15710- CHINA- CNR, 1118 with lengthy talks by woman (news?
Commentary?) in Chinese and at 1130 in Amoy. At 1130 ID as " first?" and
small music interval at 1137. 1159*, 24232, (Liangas Oct 28 Greece)

1140- 7590- PIRATE EUROPE- SWRelay Service (in USB), Nov. 1st ,
Mx,ID,QTH in EG 33333  (Pecolatto, Italy/Radiorama Pirate News)

1147- 4874.38- INDONESIA- RRI Sorong, 1147-1226*, Soft Indonesian Lagu
with a lot of talk by soft-spoken man announcer. It almost sounded 
English, but there was way too much local QRM.  One repetition of SCI
and Jakarta news relay opening with ID by woman and ending at 1214.  RRI
ID by M over music, then man and woman announcers with occasional music
bridges.  ID at 1225 by man, then a different slightly faster version of
the news  ending theme song. Started a song then went immediately off
the air.  Fair.  Seemed to vary maybe 10 hz.  Continues to be irregular.

1155- 3315- PAPUA NEW GUINEA- (Admiralty Island), Radio Manus, 1155
Nov.3,  man in English concluding a program, then into Pidgin, easy
listening  music, at 1200 children's chorus mixed with bird calls and
then off. Fair. (HTS/ Sellers, Ontario, Canada)

1156- 3385- PAPUA NEW GUINEA- (New Britain), Radio East New Britain,
1156 Nov.3, vocals and man in Pidgin, 1158 freqs and meter bands 
announcement, anthem by orchestra. Good. Radio West New Britain 3235
also with sign-off at 1200, but weaker. (HTS/ Sellers, Ontario, Canada)

1156- 3260- PAPUA NEW GUINEA- (New Giuinea Territory), Radio Madang,
1156 Nov.3, vocals, very weak, gone at 1200 like other PNGs heard today.

on 1159 in English with ID giving frqs and  addresses in Hongkong  Next

the Coconut Islands, woman announcer, man with news at 1207. Strong.

music and vocals, woman announcer. Poor, 4725 also heard very weak but

woman with Radio Tashkent mention, music. Poor, slightly better on

Mongolian, then woman in English "This is the Voice of Mongolia.", freqs

1802- 9780- YEMEN REP.- Yemeni Republic Radio, 1802 Oct. 30, English,
man with news to 1802, pop Western music, 1811 seemed to be a press 
review, 1816 more pop music. Weak. (HTS/C/ Coe Hill Dxpedition, Ontario,
Canada)

1828- 7515- TAJIKISTAN- Tajik R. 1828, New freq for Dushanbé with
Central Asian vocals and lengthy, mournful instrumental selections till
1849, when into talk by woman in presumed Tajik (closely related to
Farsi). Back to instrumentals at 1856, followed by brief announcement at
1900 and off. Audio seemed to fade up and down at times. ID per Padula
in EDXP.  (Hill, USA Nov. 1)

1856- 3965- UNITED KINGDOM- R Merlin Network, 1856, jingles and self
adverts (telephone, address and web page. Sudden change of transmission
to RFI France or complete wipeout by RFI at 1900 (no whistles due to co
channel QRM) Signal  was 44444 (Liangas Nov 4 Greece)  

1924- 11734- TANZANIA- Zanzibar, RTZ, 1924 Oct.30, Swahili, man and
woman, mentions of Dar es Salaam, African hi-life music and also
Titanic  theme by Celine Dion. Fair. (HTS/C/ Coe Hill Dxpedition,
Ontario, Canada)

1930- 6205- CLANDESTINE- R Kudirat, 1930 with jingle R Kudirat, man with
ID apologizing that die to tech problems normal programming is
suspended, and blaming the Nigerian government. Song follows. Same
format over transmission. (song , jingle ID , man) . Signal 44423 with
fast fading (Liangas Nov 4, Greece)

2021- 4950- SAO TOME E PRINCIPE- VOA, 2021-2030, EG, feature concerning
Nigeria, music bridge, then editorial on human rights, music bridge
again, and ID with schedule.  Weak but becoming readable.  (Valko, USA,
1 Nov.)

2027- 5835- RUSSIA- Radio Netherlands relay, Petropavlovsk, 2027 Oct.
30, bells IS, ID and s/on in Dutch, woman with news. Poor. (HTS/C/ Coe
Hill Dxpedition, Ontario, Canada)

2033- 9525- POLAND- Polish Radio, 2033 Oct. 31, English, interview about
workers' rights and labor exchange, then item on military service in
Poland.  Fair, //6095 weak. Also heard Nov.2, but 6095 was the better
freq. (HTS/C/ Coe Hill Dxpedition, Ontario, Canada)

2041- 4777- INDONESIA- RRI Jakarta (tent) 2041 Indonesian pop songs.
Signal 22342 with carriers on 4774.9 and 4778..Strong RTTY carrier on
4777  on 2100. First time logged (Liangas Nov 4, Greece)

2056- 3345- RUSSIA- R Mayak (new fqy), 2056, songs then at 2100 with ID
and news in Russian Signal with carrier + USB 34433 (Liangas Nov 4
Greece)

2056- 6055- RWANDA- Radio Rwanda 2056 with music, after Slovakia off,
announcements in French, then full French, English and vernacular ID
into  national anthem 2100, tone 2104, carrier off 30 seconds later. The
ID includes all domestic frequencies, FM, as well. Good to very good
signal. There is a weak signal on 6055 after Rwanda goes off, heard
virtually every day, but neither Al Quaglieri NY or I have been able to
figure out who this is. Rwanda audio to be posted at

2058- 5036.36- CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC- R. Centrafrique, 2058*,
Presumed s/off announcements by man in FR at tune in, instrumental
orchestral national anthem, and off.  Matched up the recorded national
anthem with a recording of their s/on made in 1983.  Fairly good.

2101- 4976- UGANDA- R.Uganda, 2101*, Choral national anthem-like song
then partial ID by man as: "This is R. Uganda ?? shortwave 4976 khz in
the  60 meterband", dead air for 26 seconds, and off.  Good signal on a
good African afternoon.  (Valko, USA 2 Nov.)

2112- 4810- ARMENIA-  V. of Armenia  2112  Closing announcements in
German, giving freqs of 9965 and 4810 and address in Yerevan. Chime IS,
IDs in Armenian and English, and into English broadcast. Not nearly as
strong as // 9965; also severely bothered, and eventually swallowed, by
the co channel RTTY that's nearly always present.  (Hill, USA Nov. 4)

2123- 4950- SAO TOME & PRINCIPE- VOA seems to have extended transmission
times with French programming on 2123 tune in, 2130* , 34333 Also heard
at1830 also with French program (Liangas, Greece Nov 4)

2124- 9640- VENZUELA- Ecos del Torbes 2124, Man in Spanish with play by
play of sporting event (presumably fútbol), including lots of
gooooooooals. Stronger than // 4980, which was just beginning to fade
in; buried at 2130 by AWR s/on. First time I've heard the 31M channel in
ages.  (Hill, USA Nov. 1)

2130- 5935- LATVIA- Radio Latvia Int'l, 2130 Nov.2, s/on of Monday to
Friday 5 minute English newscast. Woman with ID at start. Off quickly at
2135. Poor with QRM from 5940, best in LSB. (HTS / Sellers, Ontario,
