[HCDX]: remotely-controlled Beverage termination

Do DXers still do this ?  For the last four Newfoundland DXpeditions (1995, 1996,
1997, and 1998), remotely-controllable Beverage terminations have been used
with great success.  Why would you want to use anything else ?
