SW TIPS (TIME - Freq. - Country)
--------------------------------------------------

0000- 3310 BOLIVIA- R. Moxochaki, 15 April, 0000, signal was S-9, also
clear signal, talks in spanish and another language (quechua or
aymara ), many local music, a good ID at 00:00, saying broadcasting in
3310 kHz, 90 meterband, mentoned Cochabamba, at 01:00 sign off. (Djaci
Franklin Silva, Brazil)

0000- 4830.05- HONDURAS- R. Litoral, Tnx Hans Johnson tip, hrd the last
2 nights very weakly in absence of R. Tachira. 7 April: 0000-0011*, Tlk
by M and W anncrs over instru. mx, more-so by the M. Poss. ment of
Difusora at 0007. At 0008, W anncr gave a nice ID w/QTH and freq
w/meterband. A couple minutes of an instru. version of a song that
sounded familiar but couldn't recall, then off. The carrier remained on
however. On 8 April: same M and W anncrs once again. During an extended
tlk by the M anncr from 0007-0010, he gave ment of the freq, and later
an ID w/call sign and sked. Pgm ended at 0013, and carrier remained on
once again. The lang. doesn't sound totally SP. Maybe a mix of SP and a
lcl dialect?? Although the signal seems moderately strong, it appears
the modulation is low. For those in the NE USA, get this one now as the
increasing daylight will swallow the signal. Plus, Tachira may return at
any time. (Valko, USA 7, 8 April)

0012- 4800- INDIA- AIR, Hyderabad 0012 Test tone till 0023, when into
IS; s/on at 0025 with "Vande Mataram" announcement and chorus, then
talk by woman in subcontinental language. Fair but with considerable
QRM from co-channel and adjacent Latins. This one is difficult to hear
except when signals from the subcontinent are significantly better than
usual, which they were this evening. (Hill, USA Apr. 11)

0015-4835 GUATEMALA-Radio Tezulutlan. 0015-0050. Spanish/Dialect. Lady's
Sunday evening program of instrumental marimba music, anncmts to 0030

USA Apr 12)

0023- 5040- INDIA- AIR, Jeypore 0023 Same s/on procedure as Hyderabad
except that talk following "Vande Mataram" was by man. Weaker and
choppier than Hyderabad, but in the clear. (Hill, USA Apr. 11)
