[HCDX]: Excellent conditions to Brazil

Hi All,

Excellent conditions to Brazil on MW and tropical bands were observed by me
here in the Czech Republic (middle Europe) during the last two nights - June
29/30, June 30/July 1.
Pre-Sunrise conditions brought surprisingly good signals of Brazilian MW
stations a.o. on frequencies where only low power stations (0,25 ... 0,5 ...
1 kW) are listed !
Most of the stations remained unfortunately unidentified because of
relatively short appearance of the conditions and also because of lack of
IDs (religious programs, Copa America soccer reports etc).
Unidentified stations are listed bellow:

July 30, 1999 - Sunrise in my area: 0255 UTC
-------------------
1370.00 0246 R.Atual, S.P. (tent)
1379.83 0250 R.Continental, Recife (tent)
1470.00 0252 ??? talk only
1500.00 0255 ??? relig. prgr
1600.00 0257 R.Nove de Julho, S.Paulo (tent)

July 1, 1999
------------------
1300.00 0232 CNB Fortaleza (tent) Copa America (soccer Brazil-Venezuela)
1340.00 0137 R.Club Sao Luis (tent) talk only (relig?)
1379.83 0146 R.Continental, Recife (tent) see also June 30
1380.00 0208 ??? Copa America (B-VEN)
1520.00 0224 ??? Copa America (B-VEN)
1570.00 0228 ??? Copa America (B-VEN)
1580.00 0245 ??? relig. prgr, addr. to Sao Luis (?), TA (UTC -3), ann. at
0259 before c/d incl.:
"Boa noite Goiania, boa noite Piania (?), boa noite Brasil", s/off.
No station from Goiania listed on this frequency !
1510.12 0254 R.Cacique, Santos (tent) songs, info

Extremely strong signal of RADIO SUPER ALVORADA (Rio Branco, Acre) on 2460
kHz at 0300 - 0335 fade/out ! (July 1).
Never heard such strong signal in the 120 meter band before ! (Unfortunately
no ID heard - this station is listed, but only until 0200 UTC. Heard also on
June 30 at 0328 but not as strong as it was today).

Not too much logs in this mailist these days, but the bands are not dead in
this summer season in the northern hemisphere !
Along with the brazilian stations in the MW band there were stations from
Peru (1470 RPN, 1499.93 Santa Rosa) and some weaker Spanish speaking
stations, but the time was too short and one DXer was too little to even
note them all ...

GOOD DX,

Karel Honzik,
the Czech Republic
