[HCDX]: Band Scan 90m

Hello everywhere,

due to relatively good conditions on lower frequencies I yesterday took a
special look at the 90m band from 21.30 to 23.30 UTC. Apart from the usual
ones like Botswana (3356), Ghana (3366) and South Africa (3320) I could
listen to the following stations during that period:


3245.1,  Rádio Clube de Varginha (presumed), Brasil, August 16, 2250-2310,
Portuguese, LA pop songs, OM talking with echo effects.  23322

3264.7,  RRI Gorontalo, August 16, 2135-2140, BI, OM talking, excellent
signal. 4 4 4 2 3-4

3277.1,  Rádio Mozambique, Beira; August 16, 2140-2208, Portuguese, slow
romantic songs, news at 2200, Maputo often mentioned, ID: "Rádio Nacional",
anthem and c/d at 2208.  33222
The station is not listed here in the Klingenfuss frequency list. As far as
I know Radio Mozambique was active here until some years ago. May be a
reactivation.

3285.3,  UNID station; August 16, 2230-2250, OM talking, signal too weak for
IDing the language, traces of music after 2235.
La Voz del Rio Tarqui from Ecuador is listed here. Normally however it's too
early for fade in from EQA in central Europe at around 2230. On the other
hand there was a Kp index increasing from 4 to 5 at this time. May be a
subject for specialists of shortwave propagation.

3325,  RRI Palangkaraya; August 16, 2215-2225, BI, political information,
President Habibie often mentioned.  43323

3345, RRI Ternate; August 16, 2130-2135, BI, OM talking, station fading out.

3374.9,  Rádio Nacional de Angola, August 16, 2210-2215, Portuguese, OM
talking, ID.  23222
