More surprising is that BBC DJ John Peel celebrate his 60th
birthday on August 30th.

Went to America 1960, after a couple of non-radio jobs, he
worked as Beatle expert for Radio Station KLIF in Dallas.
Full time DJ for KOMA in Oklahoma City for 18 months.
Full time DJ for KAMEN in San Bernadino, California.
Came back to Britain in 1967 and worked for Pirate Radio London
for 6 months untill it closed September 1st.
Radio1 Ever Since.
