Thanks for the tip. I tuned into 17665 a couple of minutes before 1500 in
time to hear a station playing Caucacus-type music, followed by an interval
signal and clear ID given twice (which of course translates as "Radio Free
Chechnya"). The transmitter on 17665 then closed suddenly (moving to a lower
frequency for the evening?) without any further announcement.

Excellent signal and classic "Moscow modulation", so presumably this is a
Russian government propaganda operation beaming into Chechnya, rather than
something pro-Chechen beaming in the opposite direction.
