You are lucky to get the ppc back from KIT-1280. I QSL'd them back in
the 60s from AK when they had a QSL card. I talked with their "old" CE
several years back when someone else wanted a QSL. He wasn't all that
thrilled about reports. I thought it was a bit strange as most of the
older engineers are better at QSLing that the newer ones. I guess KIT
will answer by ppcs on occasion, which is saf as they are a 3 call
letter station.

I found QSLing AZ and NM stations a lot easier than the NW ones while I
was in Rancho Mirage. I was getting about a 70% return quite easily.
