Pat,

Normally, I record all catches and keep them until I at least receive a
reply. The KPUA log was a little different; I had just moved out here from
Minnesota and hadn't been here 24 hrs. yet. I threw some wire into some
trees and plugged in the 525 just to see what I could hear. The recorder was
still MIA at that time. But, you're right though, a tape recording is hard
to dismiss when requesting a QSL.
