Dario and others! You have hit the point! I and other DX-ers think about
Nordx 2000, which soon will be welcomed to. We really consider about the
participation, because 1. You have to pay a fee for participation (which
includes not only a paper with all attending stations and schedules, but
also a list of the results - and in some cases also prizes, not to talk
about the honour!), 2. You spend a hectic weekend at the radio (nice indeed,
but very trying and hard work), 3. You have to spend many days making all
the reception lists ready, listening to cassettes etc, 4. You have to pay a
lot of stamp money to send the big package of (sometimes) 20 reception
reports to the arranger - and you want to have something back without too
long duration.
Yes, I am worried about the future of the Nordx competition. That's why I
reflect and act - not because I am worried about my own results. I am too
old for that kind of thinking (as long as I only beat my brother OVE, hi!).
