I had two different ones, the one with the slide rule dial and the older
one with the  pointer type.  Seems to me the older ones had the larger
octal type tubes with the smaller pins. I think those tubes were a bit
less, at least back in the 60s. It also seems to me the older model was
more sensitive and selective too. At least mine were.  When Zenith went
to the solidstate radios, they never seemed to work as well.
