The original posting, dated Sept 1, was as follows:

Perhaps the reporter would like to explain where he got his information from and
why it says "moves" instead of "has moved".

The Cameroons item is another case of recycled info, attributed to someone who
did not originate the news at all.

So what? Where´s the beef? Isn´t news for free?

Sure, but suppose you come up with something really hot, a new station, a new
country or whatever. In such a case it may hurt a bit to find that your own effort
is being attributed to someone else.

When it comes to news reporting, editors (and users of the news service) soon realize
that not all news sources are equally authoritative. You need to know who is saying
what and when in order to gauge the accuracy of contradictory info.

Glenn´s "rules of the game" can be found on his web site, and they are easy to follow.
