With the sunspot action the last few days, the Pacific has improved
especially with the appearance of 2AP-540 once again.

531   1XPI     New Zealand, Auckland, good w/Samoan talk at 0730 9/17

540   2AP     Western Samoa, very good over domestics w/Samoan talk and
really nice Island mx at 0715 UTC 9/17, at S9+ signals. (PM-OR)
550    KMVI    Hawaii, Wailuku, good with Sports talk dominant at 0700

570    KQNG  Hawaii, Lihue, fair on top of KVI with talk, a local anmt
mentioning "KONG Radio" at 0735 URC 9/17 (PM-OR)
590   KSSK   Hawaii, Honolulu, trading places with KUGN with pop mx and
"K-59" IDs at 0745 UTC 9/17 (PM-OR)
620   KIPA   Hawaii, Hilo, not really DX here on coast but really strong
at S9+20 DB with standards and "Rainbow Radio" for 790 & 620 IDs at 0645

Hawaiian accented ancr mentioning playing the songs from 1972 on KUAI.

870   KAIM  Hawaii, Honolulu, another one that really isn't DX here, but

900   KNUI  Hawaii, Kahalui, good with ID as "Your aloha music station,
KNUI" at 0837 9/17. Lately CKMO has been running an OC after 0800 UTC,so
KNUI was in the clear. Nice Hawaiian pop mx too. (PM-OR)
940   KJPN   Hawaii, Waipahu, good mixing with Fresno w/JJ Pops at 0925
