[HCDX] Caroline on 1503 kHz
A few moments ago I stumbled over a station on 1503 kHz with good S7.
Normally this channel is almost empty during daylight time here. At first, I
thought it was a pirate station because they are a little bit off frequency.
In fact it is 1503.03 kHz. But they were quick to identify themselves as
Radio Caroline on air with a RSL license. I haven't checked yet today if
this operation is listed on the radioauthority WebPages, but a few weeks ago
there was no such entry in their future RSL's list. Direction finding
points -as expected- to the Essex coast.
ID with position at 1400 UTC. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to that
announcement because I thought that I was recording it. But my minidisk was
full. I'll try to catch it again next top of the hour.
Guido.
