I had an interesting conversation this afternoon with a DJ at KIEZ-540.
True that the owner (whoever that is) uses one of the KIEZ towers for
his transmitting. The guy did not have any idea who really owns the
station. Several people have claimed to own the station, but there is a
broker in the San Jose area that is trying to sell it.
There is a CE, but he doesn't care much about the station that is
operated at the TX site playing the same CD over and over again. They
are operating at lower power. Apparently there is not an address for the
station, no building, nothing. Interesting. The only reason the station
is even on, is they fiqure it will be easier to sell if it is operating!
What radio has become. The FCC would never have allowed such an
operation 20 years ago.
