HCDX list owner already posted a very sensible answer, and I'd like to
add that the additional diclaimer which bothers you is a generic one
pasted to (probably) all email messages originating from the bbc.co.uk
domain - a few days ago I've seen these added to completely innocent
messages containing nothing more than program listings for World
Service radio (these are automatically mailed to interested persons).
Often, these disclaimers are a matter of corporate policy, and
individuals using corporate email addresses cannot send messages
without them, as they are added automatically.
