[HCDX] RE: 11734 Zanzibar

Be warned this is a 32 MB file of 31 minutes, at 64.7 kbps. I listened to part of it, and can only say that it sounded like Swahili, but all the evidence, including postings by Europeans, points to Zanzibar. My own monitoring of it today continued inconclusively: at 1926 the 11735 carrier came on, and gradually overtook 11734, tho I could never hear any audio on it; then at 2000 RCI Sackville 250 kW 60 degrees to Europe came on 11730, so if Zanz was on past 2000 I could not tell. Zanzibar is really not that unusual a catch, and I am sure there will be other opportunities to hear it, and better. 73, Glenn Hauser
