FROM Johan Berglund, Trollhättan, Sweden

5010 02 Feb 2230 China with HS. English Lessons. A woman read long pieces, and was translated, or
           commented in Ch. SIO 333

4875 02 Feb 2240 Brazil. Radio Caiari, Pôrto Velho, from own studio SIO 333
It mingled with an Asian station during a few moments.

4965 02 Feb 2305 Zambia Chriastian Voice transmitting into the night. Hasn't got
any real punch in its signals here. QSA 2

1440 02 Feb 2330 Yugoslavia (Novi) Radio Belgrad was the only European here at
this time, but made company with a Chinese-speaking one for two or three
             minutes.

4830 02 Feb 2345 Venezuela. Radio Táchira. I must say that very little of the old
days when the 60 mb was buzzing from one end to the other with
Venezuelan and Colombian station seems very far away.( Hi, Noel R.Green,
Blackpool, U.K., I think you will agree to that/ JB)

1619.7 03 Feb 0110 Greece ? A Greek pirate was unbelievingly well heard.

1521 04 Feb U.K. "Capital Gold Digital 15-21". Some local ads for businesses in
Crawley. Two more stations were on the scene, "Vasilye Novabodya
Programa" it sounded like at 00.25, the word Chuvaski at 00.36 and
more times indicates local programming. "Lokalnye programa", Too
much intermingling with other stations makes you lose the thread. One
more station had very loud classical music.

 1395 05 Feb 0205 Armenia. Yerevan with a multi-lingual ID. From 02.12 a woman
talked for about 15 minutes in which the words MHz and kHz appeared
frequently, also the words Argentina and Montevideo, and Venezuela.
Armenians have emigrated en masse over the years to all over the world.
I've met some in Paris, some in Buenos Aires, and the home country does
seem to take an interest in keeping them informed over the airways. What
all those frequencies referred to, I cannot say, as I don't understand the
             language.
