[HCDX] Radio Asia Ras al Khaimah 1152kHz

Hi everyone,

Today in the Media Newsdesk at
http://www.rnw.nl/realradio/html/medianews.html we've published a story from
Gulf News that Radio Asia has signed an agreement to run 24 hour services on
AM and FM from Ras Al Khaimah. No start date is given in the story. The AM
service will be mainly in Malayalam, with some other Asian languages such as
Tamil, Urdu, Hindi and Pushto. But most interesting was the bit that said
the power of the transmitter is now 200kW! That would explain the numerous
loggings of this station on 1152 in recent months. Now with a 24 hour
service looming, it looks set to become a common DX catch :-)
