After checking the new EWE for the past several weeks, this morning I
received the first DU opening. The antenna seems to work fairly well. It
had the slight edge on the K9AY on most frequencies.

891 4TAB AUSTRALIA, Townsville. The best DU of the morning. Peaking
sometimes at S8 or S9 and alone on the channel. Racing as usual. Noted
at 1244 8/18. This station has always been a good one in signal since

1179 UNID DU here with loud signal at 1220 8/18 with pop mx, soon
lost. Ancr sounded more commercial sounding than an RPH. There are 3
NZers and one Aussie listed. It wasn't Southern Star, NZ. Resort Radio
runs 100 watts, which I doubt with that signal. Auckland has a "Ruai
Mai" station which it might have been, 1 KW. Will keep checking. (PM-OR)

No audio just an OC. Melbourne?? From 1210 to 1255 UTC 8/18. Several
