Hi:
I had a fair opening to Asia and the Pacific this morning, the 16th. I
used the R8 and Kenwood R-1000 (both) for the first time to compare. The
R1000 did almost as good a job as the R8 did, using just the AM mode. I
can't complain.

UTC 9/16, with pop mx in Tagalog. By the time the song ended it was
buried by 4QR. I could make out the usual Filipino talk, but no ID
possible. I have heard Cebu City (RMN) here in the past, but there are
