[HCDX] CKRM/CKCK

Thanks to all who replied about my inquiry about CKCK 620 Regina. Reading
in Glenn Hausers DXPL 1-139 an article from Terry Keyowski, Sept 28,
amfmtfvdx, I too remember the 70's hay day of CKCK. I lived in Brandon
Manitoba and CKCK was the "Voice of Saskatchewan". Roughrider football
and the great beginning to the hourly newscast "FRROOOMM REGINIA". I
have seen their QSL card in many a DXers collection. I even have a photo
of the station from the late 60's when they displayed three Canadian flags
outside their building on the Trans Canada Highway just east of the city.
The old Canadian flag and the two proposed flags. The current two red
bars with one red maple leaf and the runner up design of two red bars with
three blue maple leafs.

The call signs CKCK Regina and CKOM Saskatoon (now FM) were synonymous
with Saskatchewan. The times are a changin'.

As of last night CJME was still on 1300 kHz and CKRM was 980/620 kHz.
