[HCDX] LA DX tip (Mundial Zulia 1070)

Hi !

I heard YVMA Radio Mundial from Maracaibo (Zulia) this past Tuesday
evening. I found SS on 1070, a frequency that had many domestics mixing
at night along with WLFE groundwave. Here is the logging detail for
DXWWE:

1070 Venezuela Zulia, Maracaibo - Radio Mundial 20/11 0257 rumba mx,
followed by male talk with Time check at 0257 as "Diez cincuenta y
siete" (UTC-3) and an ID sounding like "Radio Mundial"
followed by an instrumental tune. Poor/fair signal, on top of domestics.
New log and new YV state (BC-PQ).

There were some other Latins, but mostly the regular ones. The RCN
powerhouse in barranquilla on 760, along with Caracas 750 and Radio
Vision Cristiana 530 and the cuban Progreso on 640/890.

The last night, for the first time in at least 1 month, I had St.-Pierre
et Miquelon on 1375. They were verry strong at times with FF pgm talk
about movies. CKBC-NB 1360 was verry strong the past eveningg, as well,
playing pop music and CKEC-NS 1320 was occasionnally discernible u/ CJMR
for the first time in weeks, now that the AU condx are gone and the
solar activity is a bit quieter after the huge geomagnetic storm (just
recently the solar activity pushed the F2 MUF on TV channel A2 and a TV
DXer in Holland saw co-channel interferences on a semi-local E3 -
equiavalent to our A2 video freq. at 55.25 Mhz) - from a TV station
somewhere in the US or Canada, propagated by the high-solar flux F2
ionization). I am a bit borred with the Latins. I will be verry glad to
get a good clear reception of the France-Inter morning show wich is
relayed via RFO-1375.

The Leonids meteor shower, produced FM e-skip for a couple of minutes,
up to about 106 Mhz, but I have`n`t been able to get any IDs.

Well, that`s it for now !
73 and good DX !
Bogdan
