[HCDX] Re: LF Bcst DX

Thomas Giella <kn4lf@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote "I'm hearing a couple of LF broadcasters tonight in central Florida. At 10:15 pm EST the stations are strong with the usual very slow and deep fades. The stations are on 155 and 173 kc."

The "155 kc" (or kHz as we say in the electronics biz) station is actually on 153. The "173" is actually 171.

>From Herman Boel's excellent on-line reference at "http://go.to/emwg":

On 153: Algeria - Alger Chaîne 1/Radio Alger Int'l, Béchar (2000) - Chaîne 1: 0200-0100 in Arabic; Radio Alger Int'l: 0100-0200 in Arabic

On 171: Morocco - Radio Méditerranée Int'l, Nador (2000) - 0500-0100 (Summer 0500-0400): Arabic and French transmissions; SW parallel: 9575 kHz

This on-line resource is a must for anyone DXing LW and MW European and North African stations.
