Re: [HCDX] Estereo Familiar on 1700 kHz

Much more likely you were hearing the Miami 1700 station, which also carries Voz Cristiana programming, as that network was mentioning an affiliate in Ecuador, or even carrying a program originating there, thus the seeming ID.

Hi all,

I heard a station on 1700.02 kHz at 06:00 UTC identifiying as "Esta es
Estéreo Familiar". Announced 107.3 FM and medium wave. No frequency was
given for medium wave. Also heard mention of Ecuador and a tentative mention
of Rio Bamba. So I guess it is Radio Estéreo Familiar in Rio Bamba, Ecuador.
The station is an affiliate of ChristianVision (www.christianvision.com)
like the shortwave station Voz Cristiana from Chile. As said, I presume it'
s this station. Can anyone confirm this? I made a recording of the station
available as a mp3-file.
