SOLAR FLARES  : Eruptive (C-class flares expected, probability >= 50%)
GEOMAGNETISM  : Quiet (A<20 and K<4)
SOLAR PROTONS : Quiet
PREDICTIONS FOR 07 Aug 2003  10CM FLUX: 133 / AP: 008
PREDICTIONS FOR 08 Aug 2003  10CM FLUX: 134 / AP: 007
PREDICTIONS FOR 09 Aug 2003  10CM FLUX: 134 / AP: 007
COMMENT: The influence of the small equatorial coronal hole is already
subsiding. The solar wind speed peaked near 550km/s. From 21:00 UT, Aug 6,
onwards it decreased to approximately 500 km/s, and currently remains steady
near that value. The interplanetary magnetic field is mainly pointing north.
Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and are expected to remain like that in the
following days. Solar activity has been low over the past day, with just a
single C-flare from a region at the east limb. Catania sunspot groups 88 and 90
(NOAA 0425 and 0424) remain capable of generating C-flares, with a small chance
for an M-flare, especially from group 90, which has developed a beta-gamma-delta
magnetic configuration.
