29NOV03: The Shortwave Bands were open at around 4pm PST BUT a lot of them
were very Noisy!!!
CUBA      Radio Havan Cuba-RHC      17.705    0027 GMT    PP     333 Oct
30th     YL with comments on a very noisy freq. Hrd a musicle interlude then
off the air at 0031 hrs.    MacKenzie-CA
HAWAII      World Harvest Radio-KWHR      17.510    0035 GMT    EE     544
Oct 30th     OM ancr with gospel music vocals. Excellent signal at this
location.    MacKenzie-CA
JAPAN      Radio France Intl      17.710    0023 GMT    FF     333 Oct 30th
YL and OM with comments. Not to bad a signal out of Japan. Noise still
ruling the bands.    MacKenzie-CA
NORTH MARIANAS      Radio Australia Relay      21.615    0005 GMT
Indonesian     444 Oct 30th     OM with mention of Malaysia often plus ID
for Radio Australia at 0006 hrs followed by more comments. A good signal
from that part of the Pacific Rim.    MacKenzie-CA
PHILIPPINES      VOA Relay      17.820    0018 GMT    EE     332 Oct 30th
OM with VOA News ID at 0018 hrs. Very High Noise level on this freq.

TURKEY      Voice of Turkey      9.460    0440 GMT    TR     332 Oct 28th
Turkish music vocals continuously. Very Noisy band.    MacKenzie-CA
UNKNOWNS      RAF/China???      21.580    0010 GMT    CC     444 Oct 30th
1st station with OM and comments. 2nd station heard underneath the first
station was a YL with comments [333}. //17765via the Philippines at [333].

UNITED STATES      WWV and WWVH      20 Mhz    Barely heard at this time. 15
Mhz  Heard the OM and the YL from Hawaii - [444].  10 Mhz heard with the OM
[444] but no YL heard at this time. 5 Mhz was a complete radio noise buzz at
this hour.  Canada's CHU on 7335 not heard due to the high noise level.

    Looks like more of the same for next week as the Sun is still sending
more large and I mean VERY large flares our way!!!  Good Listen and DX!!!!!!
