   chinese easy listening mx, nice signal; TenTec RX340, Sherwood SE3;.

   530 Jan 16 1120-1128 Canada (likely): CIAO Ontario. Glenn, you are
   very likely correct that this was CIAO Ontario. Not being much of a MW
   maven, I wasn't aware that CIAO had an ethnic format. The Punjab/Hindi
   program listed at that time could fit the "Middle Eastern" vocals I
   was hearing. Canada is certainly more likely than anywhere in Africa
   on my car radio . Thanks for the clarification! larryc

   4810 Jan 17 0045-0055 Mexico: Tentative: XERTA. Noted music and
   Spanish comments from a woman. Comments seemed to be radio checking
   with someone at the other end of a radio link. I could not hear the
   far end of the link. The signal dropped off the air occassionally and
   was covered by heavy QRM at times. The signal was best heard in LSB
   and was an AM signal. Chuck Bolland
