[HCDX] Logs for the week ending Jan.18



4635, UNIDENTIFIED, 2319-2339, Jan.13, Been working on
this one for a couple of weeks now, when my work
schedule allows. Noted vocal music at tune-in,
drum-beat at 2323 followed by talks until 2328. Unsure
if due to propagation but nothing noted until 2331
then drum-beat and talks, again at 2335 into vocal
music. Very poor under QRN at tune-in, improved
slightly after 2331 with a few peaks at even level
with noise floor. Presumed Tajik Radio, Tajikistan?

4796.78, BOLIVIA, R.Mallku (Presumed), 0947-1005,
Jan.16, Spanish/Quecha, Lively music and talks, period
of prolonged silence, then returned. Weak/poor under
relentless "sweeper' QRM. (Barbour-NH)

4855.8, PERU, R.La Hora, 1027-1040, Jan.16, Spanish,
YL w/ music and talks, "canned" ID at 1033, then
continuous talks thru tune-out. Noisy but improving.

7280, CHINA, VO China,Fuzhou (ex Vo the Strait),
1117-1133, Jan.14, Mandarin,  YL w/ talks w/ and w/o
piano music, traditional Asian instrumental music,
presumed ID at 1130. Choppy, fair at best.

9445, RUSSIA, FEBA Radio via Novosibirsk, 1357-1414,
Jan.16, English, test tones until 1359 s/on, IS,ID and
"Spotlight" prg. "Captains of Industry"  re steel
magnate, web address and IS at end of EG service. Weak
w/ static and fades. Best using LSB. (Barbour-NH)

11625, SPAIN, REE, "Espanoles en La Mar", 2103-2132,
Jan.13, Spanish, I checked this one out per Jerry
Berg's follow up of (Mr?)Lopes-ConexionDigital log.
End of news at tune-in, REE ID at 2105 followed by
morse code sounds and program ID, "Espanoles en La
Mar". Prg consisted of news items with field reports
and numerous sound bites. Also noted was an interview.
Fair with occasional fading and mild prop. noise. I
too sent a report to the programs Canary Island
address. I will let you know what transpires.

News re Pakistan and India, ments. PM Musharaf and
"acts of terrorism against India", Hindi music, ID at
2059 followed by more nx. Poor/weak. (Barbour-NH)

11750, AUSTRALIA, HCJB, 0920-0940, Jan.16, English,
prg. promos, quiz re "Disciples of Jesus",
contemporary religous mx followed by quiz answer.
Instrumental music until ID/TC at 0930, prg.
"Re-newing your mind". Fair/poor with unidentified
Chinese QRM fading in at 0935. Best using USB.

Jan.16, Mandarin, Religous talks and ballads, Fanfare,
OM w/ s/off announcements, YL in English w/ "This is
Radio Veritas Asia.." and mentioned frequencies 11850
and 95(20?). Fair/poor (Barbour-NH)
