[HCDX] Aussie QSL 1440 2PB Canberra

Verification back from 1440 2PB Canberra, ACT.

Email report for letter that was sent through post. Probably not a wise move to put ones email on the letter. Mind you it is a verification so I should be thankful. Back in 5 days for RP 50c Aussie stamp. V/s Graeme Bryan, Radio Master Control Coordinator ABC Canberra. bryan.graeme@xxxxxxxxxx

Graeme went onto say: I am quite surprised that you were able to hear 2PB as the local reception here in Canberra can best be described as poor. The transmitter is located in the northern suburb of Canberra called Gungahlin. It is co-located with our other two AM stations 2CN - Local Radio on 666kHz and 2RN (formally known as 2CY) - Radio National on 846kHz. 2PB transmits on a power of 2000W. Thanks for you letter and if you are in Canberra and are interested in having a look at the studio complex (we are all digital now) I would be glad to show you around.

It's interesting that he says that it is not heard that well in Canberra because it is heard so well at night throughout Australia.
