[HCDX] Logs and QSLs from NH-USA, week ending Sept. 4.



3385, PNG-NEW BRITAIN, R. East New Britain, 1007-1042,
August 29, Pidgin/English, OM w/ talks in Pidgin b/w
lite pop music and ballads, talk at 1033 w/ YL via
telephone then OM in EG re "Thank you for calling".
Was able to make out a few more EG word after this.
Weak signal with just enough static for rough copy.

5925, VIETNAM, VOV-2, 1011-1026, September 3, Hmong,
Familiar format featuring OM and YL w/ Vietnamese pop
music countdown program. Fair/good w/ occasional
5920-WBOH slop. (Barbour-NH)

7260, MONGOLIA, Mongolian R. (presumed), 1026-1043,
Sept.3, Mongolian?, Thanks to recent Maarten Van Delft
info at DXLD and Guy Atkins info, I gave my prior 7260
unid. another look. Ballad-like music at t/in,
followed by OM over music at 1030, followed by YL b/w
musical bits until 1034. Then talks by both b/w
musical break consisting of some sort of fanfare/horn
blasts, similar to something I logged last winter on
4850. Starting to f/out around 1035, unusable by
t/out. Looking forward to this when the sun rises
later in the mornings here in northern N.H.

13855, CLANDESTINE-MALDIVE ISLANDS, Minivan Radio via
DTK-Juelich, *1600-1636, Vernacular/English, August
31, As previously reported, s/on w/ "This is RMI, the
following prg. is directed to the Maldive Islands" in
EG, conch/horn blasts, ID then lenghty talks b/w 2 OM
w/ mentions of BBC, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and
Bangladesh. YL at 1625 w/ quick "Minivan Radio" ID
then tlks w/ several mentions of "Mohammed", music at
1630 w/ another ID at 1634. Good signal. (Barbour-NH)

15670, CLANDESTINE-IRAN, Sedaye Melate Iran,
*1325-1355*, August 30, Persian?, S/on noted at 1325,
even with Unid. co-channel station which signed off at
1330 (China?). YL w/ mentions of Iran, anthem-like
music and more talks b/w musical breaks. Talks by OM
at 1342 between ballads. Orchestral music at 1353 w/
s/off annoucement and full ID. Fair after Unid.
co-channel s/off at 1330 then gradual prop. fading and
QRN until poor by s/off. (Barbour-NH)

QSLs:

BRAZIL, R.Aparecida, 6135, f/d "R.Aparecida Studio"
card w/ EG/PT and SP verie statement on reverse, in 34
days for $1, EG report and a ppc (used). (Barbour-NH) 

JAPAN, R.Nikkei, 9595, f/d "START!" card w/ mention of
R.Tampa and BSC change to Radio Nikkei, in 14 days for
$1. (Barbour-NH)
