[HCDX] Transatlantic MW log, 26 Sept 2004
The early morning hour on 26 September 2004 gave a nice Transatlantic
opening on medium wave. So the listening proved more satisfying than an
actual antenna test to test some remote controlled Beverage antennas. The
new homemade box controlling all the switching proved to be a minor noice
source [darn], while the local power line proved to be a major noice source
(it does so occasionally and randomly, something to live with). The logs
below was thus made with my good, old EWE antennas. A lot shorter than the
Beverages, but very often as good performers. And they do not pick up the
power line noice at any annoying levels. I like my EWE's more and more.
