[HCDX] Vietnam on SW
After sending a message to the Finnish list of HCDX, Jari Savolainen replied, there are only two Vietnamese stations on SW based on observations by Davies. His QTH is in the Philippines? Those two are: 4740v, SonLa Radio and TV on 828: 2200-0100, 0400-0600, 1200-1400 //828 MW.
6379v, Dien Bien Radio TV, Dien Bien Phu (sad place to the French Army) : ?2200-0030, 0400-0600, 1200v-1330 (NB name change from LaiChau following the division of old LaiChau
province into new LaiChau and Dien Bien province into new LaiChau Provinces; the transmitter usually switches on any time time between *1130 and * 1155 in the middle of programming presumably carried on MW or FM )

This all info was published in the club magazine Radiomaailma 10/04 (Radio World) of the Finnish DX Association. Jari Savolainen is an editor of Asia/ Oceania column of the World DX Bulletin.
So, my UNID Vietnamese station on 6378,60 kHz at 1238 UTC is without no doubt DIEN BIEN RTV!!!
