[HCDX] Logs and QSL from NH-USA, Nov.23-28



4830, UNIDENTIFIED, 1207-1219, Nov.27, Vernacular,
Ballads and pop-like music w/ talks b/w selections.
Talks sound "Far East" but way too noisy to be
certain. Perhaps Mongolian Radio-2 per Dave Valko tip?

Vernacular, Hindi music, (p) ID and wind instruments
at 1200. Talks by announcer thru t/out. Weak but
clear. (Barbour-NH)

5025, UZBEKISTAN, R.Tashkent, 2002-2015, Nov.23,
German/Vernacular, YL w/ GM talks b/w native musical
selections. // 11905. Both poor/weak. (Barbour-NH)

6220, PIRATE, Mystery Radio, 0003-0019, Nov.28,
English, Dance/pop music w/ "Girl you know it's true"
by Milli Vanilli at t/in. IDs at 0010 and 0017. Weak
but clear. (Barbour-NH)

6536, PERU, R.Huancabamba(p), 0026-0044, Nov.27,
Portuguese, OM w/ talks over music, music bridge/(p)
ID w/ mention "Huancabamba" at 0355. Ballads and local
music until lost under local QRN at 0044. Very weak
under static w/ occasional SP USB chatter.

YL re Albanian geography, climate and flora. Rough
copy w/ co-channel CRI-China battling for dominance.

7530, UNIDENTIFIED, 1855-1903*(?), Nov.25, Vernacular,
Caught this while trying for Africans, early afternoon
 at my location. Nothing at t/in until Ko'ran-like
chanting poking thru the static at 1857, brief
announcer at 1900 followed by martial music until 1903
when the signal either signed off or slipped back
under the static. Very weak/poor. Maybe R.Hargeysa,
Somalia? Will try this one again as the days grow
shorter. (Barbour-NH)

9810, THAILAND, R.Thailand, 1246-1259*, Nov.25,
English, Various features; "Business Weekly Report";
"Stock Report" and "Sports News". "7 Wonders of Asia"
promo by Bangkok Airways re Singapore. ID's as "This
is Radio Thailand News". Date, web info and "Happy
Thanksgiving" cut-off at 1259, revealing RCI via
Korea. Didn't know they celebrated Thanksgiving in
Thailand! Fair.(Barbour-NH)

12020.8, VIETNAM, VO Vietnam, 1230-1243, Nov.25,
English, IS, YL w/ ID, several news items re
Vietnamese economy and technology. ID at 1237 followed
by world news re Korea(DPR), Middle East. Weak but
steady, becoming choppy by 1240. // 9840 whisper
quiet. (Barbour-NH)

15385, UAE, AWR relay-Voice of Hope,China, 1314-1332,
Nov.25, English/Mandarin, YL w/ language lesson using
slang phrases such as "high on the hog" and "eat like
a bird". Address for (Kowloon Central?),POB 71030,
Hong Kong; web address www.vohc.com. and (p) prg.
title "Dailogue-Family and Friends". OM in Mandarin at
1330 thru t/out.  Fair/good. Checked www.vohc.com. Not
surprised to find the site entirely in Mandarin.

CONGO(REPUBLIC), 5985, R.Congo, Blank, "Direction
Generale-Telediffusion du Congo" cd and personal
letter, both in French. Each w/ red-ink "Rep. du
Congo- LE DIRECTUER" station seals. In 39 days for 1
IRC and an English report. V/S, Felix Lossombo. Nice
stamps on envelope. (Barbour-NH)
