[HCDX] BPL question

Fellas, I was shopping the other day at Costco and noticed a big pallet of 
wireless internet over the power line devices.  Now these are for
home use, and are designed to replace or extend the range of traditional 
wireless cards.  I looked over the box, but nothing about the frequency 
they use.
My question:  Are these as harmful as the dreaded BPL we've all been 
reading about?  Anything to worry about.  Should I buy up the entire stock 
and them bring them back in a month stating that they're
