[HCDX] The hope of a lifetime.
Hi
(a somewhat elated greeting)
As Jimi Hendrix makes his this morning on Arrow Rock Radio Holland (Little
Wing) and I'm sipping a revigorating (killer ?)coffee, I'm proud to annouce
my first ever transatlantic MW Catches.
They've been made with the ICOM R75 and a 6 metre wire antenna in the attic
(and no little dose of fumbling with the USB/LSB knob, RF Gain command and
AGC Off).
1620.0 0104 utc lengthy piece of steel drums , then woman "you're
listening to WDHP from the United States Virgin Islands" then into talks in
Carribean English.
1510.0 0120 to 210 utc Sports live and numerous commercials in American
English, lots of 800 phone numbers given at the end of commercials, no
positive ident heard but WWZN Boston is a 99% sure bet.
Others stations on the X-band (1650 khz not bad to listen to)..
Can't wait to have my ALA1530 to grab some more.
A glorious to you all.
Pat
