AIB Global Media Business Conference 2005:
The annual AIB Global Media Business Conference will take place in 
Montreal, Canada on 6 and 7 June 2005.
Hosted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's international radio 
division, Radio Canada International, the AIB Global Media Business 
Conference will welcome media leaders from the worlds of television, radio, 
online, technology, satellite and regulation. More than 200 senior 
executives will gather in Montreal for two days of debate, discussion and

ABU General Assembly exhibition sells out:

The ABU's decision to hold an exhibition in conjunction with its annual 
General Assembly has attracted strong interest from its members.
Almost all of the exhibition booths have been sold out, hours after ABU 
members were advised of the initiative. The exhibition will be mounted at 
the General Assembly which is to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 26 to 28 
November. ABU Secretary-General, David Astley, said nearly all of the 
exhibition booths were booked within hours of the event brochure being sent 
to members. "There is currently just one booth left, but we don't expect 
that to last long," he said. However, he added that there were still some 
sponsorship opportunities left for other General Assembly events.Delegates 
to the General Assembly - who comprise heads of broadcasting organisations 
and other key-decision makers in the industry - will have the opportunity 
to meet with programme distributors, equipment manufacturers and media 
service suppliers.This year, the exhibition has been incorporated into the 
annual event to offer ABU members space to demonstrate their own content or 
services. Mr Astley said there clearly was a demand for such an event to be 
held in conjunction with the General Assembly, so more exhibition space 
would be sought for next year's General Assembly to be held in Beijing.
