Just thought the group would like to know that I have repaired the radio.
If you remember it was deaf on the MW band.

The fault was an open circuit resistive attenuator network R161,162 & 163.
These resistors are only applicable to the MW band so take care to 
disconnect your receiver during an electrical storm.
