Rough conditions here in the mountains of NH with
oppressive humidity and threatening thunderstorms. As
a result most of these logs are presumed or tentative.
I wish it would just rain and be done with!
3235, UNIDENTIFIED, 0154-0205, July 18, Portuguese,
Ballads and brief OM b/w selections. A few ID-like
jingles but conditions were way too noisy for positive
ID. Not // 5045-Guarja Paulista, Brasil. Peru perhaps?
(Barbour-NH)
5910, COLOMBIA, (P)Marfil Estereo, 1014-1030, July 15,
Spanish, OM w/ usual campesino-style format with
several presumed IDs tho nothing definitive. Fair at
best. (Barbour-NH)
6214v, ARGENTINA, (P)R.Baluarte, 0121-0134, Spanish,
OM w/ talks over music. Phone-in program at 0129.
Complete mess w/ "muddy" audio under static. Difficult
to get a lock on the frequency. (Barbour-NH)
6957.1, PERU, (P)LV de Campesino, 0109-0120, July 18,
Spanish, Continuous talks by OM over music. Poor.
(Barbour-NH)
9737.8, PARAGUAY, R.Nacional, 1030-1043, July 15,
Spanish, OM announcer w/ interviews; ballads b/w
items. ID in passing at 1034. Fair/good. (Barbour-NH)
15747.78, SRI LANKA, (T)SLBC, 0124-0144, July 15,
English, OM poking thru the static w/ pop ballads and
talks b/w selections. Heard TC's, mentions of
"Colombo, Sri Lanka" and tentative frequency/ID
announcements. Unsure of the exact frequency as I
tuned up to avoid some sort of noise blob.
