[HCDX] Logs from NH-USA, week ending Dec.18

Good DX here in the White Mountains with the Winter
Solstice fast approaching. Finally got my LDG DTS-4
antenna switch from Universal and I like it. I finally
have my NE and NW Beverages, in addition to my RF
Systems MLB-1, working side-by-side and it's
interesting to observe the variance in signal strength
and noise levels across the bands depending on which
antenna is selected.


3340, HONDURAS, HRMI, 0157-0204, Dec.15, Spanish, SP
pop/rap music. Nice ID at 0200. Poor/fair.

3390, SIKKIM, (P)AIR Gangtok, 1200-1214, Dec.12,
Vernacular, Announcer w/ talk in lang. Hindi music at
1209. V.poor under static. (Barbour-NH) 

3944.77, VANUATU, (P)R.Vanuatu, 1106-1118*, Dec.17,
Vernacular-?, Anncr. w/ talk in presumed language,
sounded religous, did hear mention of "Jesus" and "The
Bible". Instrumental music (NA-?) at 1117 then off.
Poor, battling w/ USB slop.

3976, INDONESIA-KALIMANTAN, RRI Pontianak, 1120-1134,
Dec.13, Indonesian, Indo ballads and talks by various
announcers. Poor, becoming weak under LSB chatter.

4319U, DIEGO GARCIA-?, AFN, 2141-2155, Dec.12,
English, Clark Howard Show re "working at home". Usual
format of promos/ads. Back to prg. at t/out. Poor.

4975.1, BRAZIL, (T)R.Mundial, 0106-0139, Dec.14,
Portuguese, Nice mix of lite ballads and instrumental
music w/ OM b/w selections. A few tentative IDs but
nothing definitive. Good at t/in. Thanx JB

5054.6, COSTA RICA, Faro del Caribe, 1126-1147,
Dec.17, Spanish, SP music w/ OM talk over and b/w
selections. Several passing mentions of "Faro del
Caribe". Fair. (Barbour-NH)

9470, INDIA, FM Gold via AIR Aligarh, 1209-1230*,
Dec.17, Vernacular, Presumed ad at t/in mentioning
"eight ninety nine" and phone numbers. Hindi pop
music. "FM Gold" ID in passing at 1219 and URL I could
not fully copy. More talk w/ numerous mentions of
"Radio..?.. FM". I couldn't understand what came after
"Radio". It sounded like "Mar(tine-?)". More music at
1225 until presumed AIR ID at 1230* Fair at t/in,
noisy at s/off. // 7270-Chennai. (Barbour-NH)
