[HCDX] Phuket log, 15/6/2006

Good conditions around 1800-2000 UTC for Australian stations, but later in the night it started to rain and the band got noisy....
   
  Although the ABC website and WRTH lists stations as Regional, National and Metropolitan, many frequencies seem to carry the same 'Overnight' program
   
  549.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC Local Radio, 2CR Orange (Cumnock) NSW, Jun 15 1930 - // Wagin 558KHz with Overnight program. Is there no time-shifting of this Overnight program from state to state?. 
  594.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC Local Radio, 3WV Horsham VIC, Jun 15 1905 - // Melbourne 774KHz with NX and WX. 
  639.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC Local Radio, 3GI Port Pirie VIC, Jun 15 1850 - //Adelaide 891KHz (even though Port Pirie is listed as Regional service & Adelaide is Metropolitan service). 
  729.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC National Radio, 5RN Adelaide SA, Jun 15 1940 - (Assumed), OM with English language talk, Australian accent. Fairly regular reception. 
  774.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC Metropolitan Radio, 3LO Melbourne, VIC, Jun 15 1900 - Clear '774' ID at top of hour and into NX. 
  846.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC Local Radio, 6CA Carnarvon, WA, Jun 15 1912 - Overnight program with light MX and phone-ins, // Wagin 558. 
  891.00 AUSTRALIA K9AY SOUTH BEAM ABC Local Radio, 5AN Adelaide, SA, Jun 15 1840 - Overnight progam with light MX and phone-ins.
