[HCDX] Log of Congo-5995

Repport from:
Bogdan Alexandru Chiochiu
DX'ing with his Sangean CST818 and 30 meters longwire out of Pierrefonds (Pierrefonds-Roxboro / Montreal's West Island), Quebec, Canada

5995 CONGO, Radio Congo, Brazzaville DEC 3 0605 - during the wee hours during the morning hitted by the heavy snowstorm, Radio Congo was breaking through the RHC-6000 splatter quite nicely with minimalist traditionnal tribal music. Not very strong, but not too weak either. Quite poor. My Sangean CST-818 which doesn't too a very astonishing job on LW and MW seems quite good on SW. Unfortunatly, not too many SW stations are left in either Africa or Latin America and it isn't a highly proffessionnal communications rig in order to bring out of the noise mush the Peruvan and Bolivian flea-powered stuff. I look for a communication receiver is important for me, yet, I prefer searching for Aventure FM tapes and building something of a revival of this wonderful French station ! That being said, I'm looking forward doing some DXing tonight, as soon as I write one more Aventure FM aircheck request... (Chiochiu-QC)

May the good DX be with you !
